A bit about me........

My name is Harriet and I’m the founder of Anderson Equine & Rider Therapy. I have been a chartered physiotherapist for over 20 years working in both the NHS and latterly in the private sector. I have an expert knowledge of anatomy, physiology and manual treatment techniques and have been using therapeutic Pilates in my practise for

over 5 years. I am currently finishing my MSc in veterinary physiotherapy at Harpbury College and am a passionate Horse owner and rider. The highs and lows of keeping my own 16:2 warmblood have helped me understand the infinite importance of balance in the saddle.

Pilates for horse riding

Would you like to improve the your health, your riding and the performance of your horse?

Would you like to develop better posture, alignment and balance in the saddle?

Do you want to aid an independent seat?

Would you like to feel stronger and more mobile while riding your horse?

If the answer is yes to any of these questions then Pilates can help you achieve your goals.

Practicing Pilates regularly can aid correct body alignment, improve your posture and activate the deep stabilising muscles that control your core. Improved riding posture and mechanics transfers into the saddle and influences your horses performance. The longer you can maintain correct posture and minimise imbalance in the saddle the more clear your cues to your horse will become. By tuning out the background noise you can develop a clearer relationship with your horse and become a more comfortable and confident rider.

At Anderson Equine & Rider Therapy Harriet can offer 1:1 and small group Pilates classes in the comfort of your own home. Alternatively exclusive “Pilates for Horse Riding” classes will be starting in October in Penarth.

I lead every class and so you can be safe in the knowledge that you are always in capable hands.

Please DM for further information and details on how to book a course of 6 sessions now.

Looking forward to seeing you soon and sharing your horse journey,

Harriet
